Magnus Resch is an art market economist, serial entrepreneur and book author.
In 2016 he started the Magnus App, which works like Shazam for Art. Leonardo DiCaprio is an investor and advisor to the company. Prior to this, Magnus was Managing Director of Springstar, an internet incubator with (2500 employees and $2bn revenue).
Magnus holds a Ph.D. in economics and studied at Harvard, the London School of Economics and the University of St. Gallen. He is author of five books on the art market, including “Management of Art Galleries” (Phaidon) and “100 Secrets of the Art World” (Koenig).
He is a frequent lecturer on contemporary art and economics. His activities have been widely covered in the international media, including the New York Times, Vanity Fair, Vogue China and the Financial Times.
