Désiré Feuerle

Born in Stuttgart, Germany, Désiré lives and works in Asia and is a collector and art consultant for renowned international modern, contemporary and Asian art collections and founder of The Feuerle Collection, Berlin, Germany.

He is also an International Trustee of the Museo del Prado, Madrid Spain, a member of the International Advisory Council of the Hispanic Society of America, New York and the International Council of the Berggruen Museum, Berlin.

He is also a founding member of the Global Private Museum Network.

At the beginning of his career, he worked closely with artists such as Rosemarie Trockel, James Lee Byars, Per Kirkeby and Sigmar Polke.

The Feuerle Collection Juxtaposes early Khmer sculptures from the 7th to the 13th century with Imperial Chinese lacquer and stone furniture, wood and stone Chinese Scholar furniture ranging from the Han Dynasty of the second century BC to the Qing Dynasty of the 18th Century together with works by international contemporary artists Zeng Fanzhi, Anish Kapoor, Nobuyoshi Araki, Cristina Iglesias, James Lee Byars and Adam Fuss.

Désiré Feuerte was included in the Art Net New Index of the World’s Top 100 Art Collectors for 2016 and in Artnet’s list ‘Who are the Top 10 German Art collectors’? which was published in April 2016.

The Feuerle Collection was awarded the Larry’s List Collector’s Award in 2016 for ‘Private Museum Newcomer of the Year’
