Nicole Ching

Nicole graduated in Classics from UCL and read for a MSc in Anthropology at Oxford. Her diverse experience in the arts includes working for Sotheby’s, Cambridge’s Fitzwilliam Museum, and writing for ArtAsiaPacific. Influenced by her time working with the Long Museum, Shanghai, Nicole co-founded conference platform Museum 2050 to help explore and unlock the potential of China’s private museums. Museum 2050’s inaugural symposium brought together scholars, art professionals and members of the public to critically examine the diverse museum practices in both official and private domains in the Greater China Region. A strong advocate for arts curricula in the Chinese education system, Nicole is currently pursuing further study in hopes to initiate more fluid conversation between international art institutions and China.
