Andrew Banks

Andrew is a solicitor practising in regulatory law at Stone King LLP where he is a Partner in the Court and Regulatory team.

Andrew qualified in 1996 and has been a regular advocate in courts and tribunals throughout his career.  He is a Higher Courts (Criminal) Advocate enabling him to appear as advocate in the Crown Court and Criminal Appeal Courts.

One of his areas of specialism is in relation to CITES in terms of both defending prosecutions and appealing the decisions of the enforcement authorities to forfeit seized items. He undertakes other work in the art and antiques world from fraud to issues relating to antique firearms.
