Fenella is a Director at the China-Britain Business Council (CBBC) where she has responsibility for its Creative and Consumer Group, media engagement and senior government relations. CBBC is the leading UK organisation helping companies grow their business with China. Its advantage lies in 23 local offices, Chinese language understanding, impartial advice and a network of 900 members and key government contacts. With increased demand from UK companies CBBC opened a further 2 offices in China last year and in 2014 is set to grow the team by 32%. Fenella has a commercial, marketing and China background with 8 years spent living and working in New York and China. She has worked for China Now, a business backed festival of China in the UK, WPP in New York and an agency of the Economist Group in Beijing amongst other jobs. She has an undergraduate degree from Edinburgh University, an MBA from Columbia Business School and has studied Mandarin. She is passionate about building bridges between China and the UK.
