Giuseppe Calabi

Giuseppe is senior partner of CBM & Partners, Studio Legale – Milano and a member of the Milan Bar.

He graduated from Milan University Law School and earned a Master’s degree from Harvard Law School, and has successfully developed the Art Law practice, in which the firm is widely recognised as a leader both nation-wide and internationally.

Giuseppe assists auction companies, art galleries, museums, artist foundations and archives and collectors. He has advised the art market stakeholders on projects concerning the reform of Italian heritage laws and on the artwork international circulation regime. He was a member of the Working Group appointed by the Italian Ministry of Culture that drafted the new export guidelines.

Giuseppe is a member of the Harvard Law School Leadership Council of Europe.  He is Chair of the Art Law Committee of the International Bar Association, the largest lawyers’ association worldwide and speaks fluent English and French.
