Martina Batovic

Martina is the UK Director for Dorotheum Auction house, one of the oldest auction houses in operation today, and a Post-War & Contemporary Art Specialist. Martina comes to Dorotheum with multi-faceted view of the art world having spent more than a decade at the high end of the international art world, working across all three major areas of the market: auction, gallery and advisory.

Since Martina took over the London office in 2016, Dorotheum UK has gone from strength to strength, engaging in cultural partnerships and supporting the Contemporary Arts ecosystem throughout the UK, and in turn growing the UK audience and collector participation at auction.

As a Specialist and an Expert in the field, Martina is passionate about art of the Post-War period, especially European avant-garde movements of the 1950s and 1960s and the place of female artists in the current market.

Martina is trilingual, holds a Masters degree in Art Business, and a she is a Patron of PEER UK and Patron of The Royal Academy of the Arts, and works actively with Inspiring the Future and Inspiring Women educational charities.
