Trevor Horsewood

Trevor is responsible for shaping new approaches to thinking about art history and visual culture in education as part of his wider campaign and policy work for the Association of Art Historians, the UK subject association and principle body for art historians in the country.

The Association led the recent campaign  to ensure  the launch of a new specification for History of Art in schools, and is currently developing regional partner networks to raise awareness of the field,  working with universities, schools and cultural organisations across England, Scotland and Wales.

As part of this work Trevor leads on the Association’s emerging programme  on developing and supporting ambassadors for art history across a range of sectors and industries, within and outside the arts.

Trevor has a background in visual arts education and engagement and has worked on a range of projects within the UK and Europe to build new audiences and innovative approaches to engagement for the arts and culture.
