Agenda

Wednesday 19 November, 2025

1:30 - 2:00pm : Guest Registration and welcome networking

2:00 - 2:05: Welcome remarks by Georgina Adam, Journalist and art market expert, Conference Chair

2:05 - 2:30: Opening Keynote Panel: Kevin Ching, Chairman of Christie's Asia and The Honourable Bernard Charnwut Chan GBM GBS JP, Chairman of West Kowloon Cultural District Authority in conversation with Georgina Adam

2:30 - 3:15: Hong Kong Rising: A New Standard for the Global Art World

Shifting client expectations are driving new standards in Hong Kong and beyond. By combining world-class infrastructure, cultural vision, and market leadership with the elevated demands of today’s collectors, Hong Kong is setting a new benchmark for the global art world. As rising incomes fuel the desire for more sophisticated experiences, the city is redefining what it means to engage with art at every level.

Moderated by Enid Tsui (SCMP) with speakers Ken Ng (Crozier), Nickos Gogolos (M+) and Audrey Shum (Christie's), this conversation explores how leading institutions are innovating to deliver a first-class art experience and what the rest of the world can learn from Hong Kong’s model.

3:15 - 3:55: Art & Luxury: Crafting Desire and Cultural Value

At a time when the boundaries between art, craftsmanship, and luxury are increasingly fluid, this conversation explores how creativity, heritage, and cultural capital intersect to define modern luxury.

This session will unpack how beauty, rarity, and storytelling shape desire in today’s luxury landscape. The panel will examine how to navigate questions of artistic authorship, value, and legacy in a fast-changing market—where younger collectors, digital influence, and Asian cultural perspectives are redefining what it means to own, collect, and experience luxury.  Through the lens of jewellery, handbags, and collectible design, this session invites audiences to consider: when does an object transcend commerce to become art? And how does Hong Kong, as a global nexus of culture and capital, continue to shape the future of art and luxury in Asia.

Moderated by Zabrina Lo (Tatler) with speakers Winsy Tsang (Christie's), Julien-Loïc Garin (The Foundation for Art and Culture), Marion Bertagna (MB Projects)

Art collectibles are increasingly recognized as part of a diversified investment strategy, offering both financial and cultural value. Hong Kong, with its strong financial infrastructure, vibrant art scene, and evolving regulatory landscape, is positioning itself as a leading centre for integrating art into modern wealth management. This session will explore how investors and institutions are approaching art as an asset class, addressing topics such as valuation and liquidity, as well as legal, tax, and governance considerations.

Moderated by Daniel R. Fung (FSDC) with speakers Jyrki Rauhio (HSBC), Rhiannon Alban-Davies (AXA XL), Rob Caldwell (Loeb & Loeb) and Claudia Albertini (Hong Kong Gallery Association & MASSIMODECARLO).
